About Us

Late Shree Devraj M. Gundecha
started a Charitable Trust known as Gundecha Charities, as a Public Trust Registered under the provisions of Public Trust Act, 1950 and is registered with the Charity Commissioner under Registration No. A 9122 MUMBAI dated 28/12/1982 as a Public Charitable Trust with the objective to establish and/or run educational/Charitable institutions. The Trust Office is housed in Gundecha Group, 141, Gundecha House, Jawahar Nagar, Goregaon (West), Mumbai – 400 062. The other Trustees are Late Shree Hastiraj D. Gundecha, Shree Paras D. Gundecha & Ms. Poonam P. Gundecha. The Trust holds exemption u/s 80G of the Income Tax Act.

Gundecha Charities was established with several objectives in mind to serve society without any distinction of caste, creed, religion or sex. Gundecha Charities always comes forward to help needy, poor and deserving people or students, so that they can grow in their life and live a respectable life like a normal Indian. Gundecha Charities has set various charitable objectives to help society. To name a few, start, support, maintain or provide monetary assistance to schools, colleges, institutions, hospitals and impart education and training. Also to establish and support professorship, fellowship, leadership and give prizes in the name of the trust. To establish and support Libraries, Art Galleries, Playground for children, Public halls, Community halls, Water huts, sports and Gymnasium activities for public benefit. Charity grants relief to disabled, blind, crippled or handicapped persons who are otherwise physically or mentally deficient or weak.

  At present Gundecha Charities is helping and maintaining following social, educational, religious bodies, hospitals and nursing homes such as: -

  • Punarvas Education Trust for the mentally handicapped at Goregaon where around 150 children get training. Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Vice President of this institute.

  • Mumbai Mothers and Children Welfare Society-Palnaghar at Goregaon, where 160 children are looked after everyday. Here also Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Vice President.

  • Gundecha Charitable Hospital in Rajasthan, Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Trustee in the hospital.
    Deepak Jyoti Parasnath Jain Temple, Parel that is looked after by Mr. Paras Gundecha as Trustee of this trust.

  • Shree 108 Parasnath Bhakti Vihar Jain Trust-Shankeshwar, Gujarat. Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Trustee of this Trust.

  • Electric Crematorium at Oshiwara, Goregaon (W) has been renovated beautifully and maintained by Gundecha Charities.

  • Gundecha Education Academy, an ICSE (New Delhi Board), school starting from June-2004 at Thakur Village Kandivali (E) under the leadership of Mr. Paras Gundecha as Trustee & Late Ms. Mamta P. Gundecha as the managing Trustee.

  • Bhakti Parasnath Jain Temples at Parel and Lalbaug. Mr. Paras Gundecha is the Trustee for both the temples.

Gundecha Education Academy prepares students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE – Year 10) and The Indian School Certificate (ISC – Year 12) examinations. The Government of Maharashtra has issued a No Objection Certificate, vide letter no. NOC 4003/(6701/2003)/SE-1 dated 26th September 2003 to start the school. The school has been granted affiliation to the Council for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education Examination vide affiliation no. MA086/2005.

To develop a sense of social responsibility

For students of Std. III to XII of Gundecha Education Academy by

  • adopting old age homes, adivasi schools, orphanages and undertaking activities to help their inmates.

  • visiting slums and encouraging the children to do social work after school hours.

  • planning teaching-learning and entertainment activities for the children from slums.

  • collecting grains, clothes, toys and newspapers for donation to these institutions.

To device methods for performance measurement to ensure continual

improvement in all aspects of governance and quality enhancement.
